We have built a legacy of integrity, trust and pride in the communities that we serve by rendering customer service that is exemplary, rather than ordinary, from a gemologically trained sales staff dedicated to the ethics and ideals of the American Gem Society.

COMPANY HISTORY David's Ltd. is owned and operated by husband and wife team David and Sandie Rousso, now celebrating 30 years as Charlotte's Ideal Jeweler. David and Sandie continue to make changes to meet the growing needs of their clients while keeping up with the fashion trends and innovations in an ever-changing jewelry industry. After extensive research, they have acquired the most exclusive lines of distinctive jewelry in the world, and will continue to do so, in order to keep David's Ltd. at the forefront of the jewelry profession. David and Sandie require their sales associates to advance their knowledge in gemology through the diamond and colored stones courses offered by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) and the American Gem Society (AGS). David Rousso leads by example, having achieved the title of Certified Gemologist Appraiser®, the highest level of gemological training attainable by professional jewelers.

David's Ltd. currently has a single location in the Cotswold Village Shops at the intersection of Randolph and Sharon Amity Roads in Charlotte, North Carolina. The original store opened in April 1977, occupying 900 square feet in the NationsBank (now Bank of America) Plaza Shops beneath what is now the Omni Hotel in uptown Charlotte. In October of 1985 David's Ltd. expanded to 2,000 square feet in the same uptown mall and opened its second location in October 1990, also 2000 square feet, at Cotswold Mall in Southeast Charlotte. After achieving remarkable success in this new suburban location, the Roussos closed the uptown store on March 31, 1993. David's Ltd. expanded its operation by moving into the current store, occupying 3800 square feet. The move was motivated by a thirteen million-dollar renovation of Cotswold Mall, undertaken by new mall owners, to bring in more high profile retail stores and upscale restaurants. The renovation resulted in the demolition of the "mall" concept and an upgrade to an inviting "village" atmosphere. Hence, the new name "Cotswold Village Shops".

David's Ltd. is a member of the American Gem Society and is best known for their collections of platinum, 18karat gold, sterling silver and stainless steel high fashion jewelry, designer jewelry from the industry's best known designers, the finest in Swiss timepieces, vivid colored gemstones, Mikimoto pearls, and custom jewelry design. David's Ltd. is positioned as The Diamond Specialists of Charlotte offering a wide range of qualities and sizes in finely cut and ideal-cut diamonds, presented to clients by Graduate Gemologists or GIA Diamond Course Graduates in an AGS accredited gem lab and private viewing room.
