COMPANY HISTORY
David's Ltd. is owned and operated by David and Sandie Rousso, celebrating over
33 years as Charlotte's Ideal Jeweler. David's Ltd. currently has a single location
in Charlotte, North Carolina located just Two Doors Down from Crate & Barrel, in
VILLAGE AT SOUTH PARK, with easy access from the front entrance to South Park Mall
off Sharon Road. David’s Ltd. opened during the Spring of 1977 in uptown Charlotte
and, in October of 1985, expanded to a much larger store in the same uptown mall
and opening a second location in October 1990 in Southeast Charlotte at the Cotswold
Village Shops
After achieving remarkable success in the new location, the Roussos closed the
uptown store in March 1993 and operated in the Cotswold location for 20 years, until
December 2009, when the store was moved to its fabulous new location in the very
upscale area of South Park.
David’s Ltd. is best known for their exquisite collections
of platinum, 18 karat gold, 14kt gold, sterling silver fine jewelry, and designer
jewelry from the industry's finest designers. They also feature prestige Swiss timepieces,
vivid colored gemstones, lustrous pearls and specialize in designing one-of-a-kind
custom made jewelry pieces for their clients. David’s Ltd. has the reputation as
The Diamond Specialists of Charlotte offering a wide range of qualities, sizes and
shapes in finely cut and ideal-cut diamonds, presented by their staff Graduate Gemologists
or GIA Diamond Course Graduates in an AGS accredited gem lab and private viewing
room. David’s Ltd. has always been about SERVICE, employing the finest craftsman
available and offering their clients exemplary, rather than ordinary, jewelry and
watch repair services.
As proud members of the American Gem Society, David
and Sandie require their sales associates to advance their knowledge in gemology
through the diamond and colored stones courses offered by the Gemological Institute
of America (GIA) and the American Gem Society (AGS). David Rousso has lead by example,
having achieved the title of Certified Gemologist Appraiser, the highest level of
gemological training attainable for the professional jeweler and served as the National
Ethics Chairman on the Board of Directors of the American Gem Society.
